"No One Can, No One Should Try To Play Like MS Dhoni," Reveals Sanju Samson
"No one can" and "no one
should try" to play like former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, said
the wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson. His comments came when he rejected the
comparisons between him and MS Dhoni
Meanwhile, his swashbuckling knocks not
only impressed fans but the Congress MP from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram,
Shashi Tharoor also - who referred to him as the next MS Dhoni. However, former
India player and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir didn’t like the comparison though, like
the batsman himself.
While replying to Tharoor’s tweet,
Gambhir had expressed that the 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman should try to
be the Sanju Samson of Indian cricket team instead of
becoming another MS Dhoni for India.
"I am sure that no one can and no
one should try to play like him. It's not at all easy to play like MS Dhoni, so
leave that aside. I never think of playing like MS Dhoni. He is a legend of
Indian cricket, legend of the game," Samson told.
"I only focus on my game, what I
can do, how I can do it best and how I can win matches," he again added.
Notably, Samson smashed while he was
asked about his thoughts on this, Samson said he only knows that he is in good
form and his only dream is to win matches for his side wherever he plays. He
also mentioned that his focus is on the IPL right now.
"I am very lucky to be a part of
Rajasthan Royals and some very good individuals, good human beings around me. I
am a bit deep person and I keep on thinking about my future, also about my
life, because everyone will die one day. I think I can't play cricket after
10-12 years,” he concluded.
