MS Dhoni’s Beautiful Gesture For CSK Teammates Post IPL Cancellation Makes Headlines
Former India as well as Chennai Super
Kings captain MS Dhoni has once again impressed everyone with his beautiful
gesture. He has assured all his players that he would leave the CSK camp after
all his teammates left for home safely.
Meanwhile, he has told his players on a
video chat that since the IPL was taking
place in India during the crunch time of COVID-19, overseas players must leave
first and then the other players should leave for their home in India. And, as
per the report of The Indian Express, Dhoni would be the last person to leave
for home.
“Mahibhai said that he will be the last
person to leave the hotel. He wanted foreigners to leave first, then the Indian
players. He will be taking the last flight tomorrow when everyone reaches their
home safe and secure,” a member of the Chennai Super Kings franchise shared
this to The Indian Express.
However, CSK has already organised a
charter flight to take its players from Mumbai. It is also noteworthy that, the
ten-seater aircraft carried a few of its players to Mumbai and Rajkot in the
morning and later in the evening another flight will take other players to
Bangalore and Chennai as well. MS Dhoni to leave for his hometown Ranchi in the
evening only.
However, the 14th edition of IPL was
postponed for an indefinite time period last week after many players have
tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 virus. As far as the league is
concerned, out of the 56 league matches, only 29 games were played before the
postponement.
It started with two Kolkata Knight
Riders (KKR) players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier and after that,
Chennai Super Kings coaches Lakshmipathy Balaji and Mike Hussey, SunRisers
Hyderabad’s wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals’
experienced spinner Amit Mishra have also joined the list of infected people.
And, that saw the BCCI and IPL Governing Council unanimously decided to call
off the league with immediate effect as well.
